X (Twitter) Setup
To use data from X (Twitter) in your data flows, you need to set up X as a data source in Pyramid, using the Admin Console.
An X data source allows you to perform simple or advanced searches on X data, depending on your X licensing. Any X searches only return data from the last seven days.
Add your X data source
Prerequisites:
- An X Bearer Token. This enables authentication requests from Pyramid, and is found on the Keys and Tokens tab of the X Developer portal, under Authentication Tokens.
- If you want to use advanced searches, you need X enterprise products. Otherwise, you will only be able to use simple search (open to all non-free members).
To add and configure an X data source:
- Open Pyramid and go to the Admin console. From the main menu, click Data > Data Source.
- Click Add Data Source and, in the bottom panel, specify the following minimum details:
- Display Name: The user-friendly name for the data source as you want it to appear in the application.
- Bearer Token: Found on the Keys and Tokens tab of the X Developer portal, under Authentication Tokens.
For details of the optional data source fields, see Data Sources.
- Once you have completed your data source details, you can Test and then Apply.
X is now available as a data source in Model.
Depending on your roles and responsibilities, you might want to add an X data source to one or more of your Data Flows. For more information, see X Data Source.
